ABOUT US
At The Foot Collective, we’re rewriting the story of foot health. Founded by Canadian physical therapist Nick St. Louis in 2015, TFC was born from a simple but powerful realisation: the key to better movement, less pain, and greater freedom starts with our feet. Years of rigid shoes and quick fixes have left many of us stuck in a cycle of discomfort and disease. We exist to break that cycle.
What began as a small movement has grown into a global community of health and movement practitioners on a mission to make a much needed shift in the culture around feet and footwear.
Through our online training resources, in-person workshops and our range of physical training tools, we aim to empower people along the journey of restoring natural foot function and balance and to make this process as fun and engaging as possible.
Drawing on fundamental principles of human physiology, the latest research evidence and the collective experience of our community, TFC creates the most simple, accessible and powerful approach to reverse the growing global epidemic of foot dysfunction.
Whether you're dealing with pain, recovering from injury, or simply looking to move more naturally, The Foot Collective is here to guide you. That’s why we provide boundless free education and training content through our website, social media channels and our podcast Restore to Explore.
Together, we can unlock the full potential of your feet—and the freedom to explore the world without limits.
FOUNDER
Nick St. Louis is the visionary founder of The Foot Collective. Nick’s work as a physical therapist in clinic led him to a profound realisation: the power of natural foot function and balance training in helping the body rewire itself.
This insight inspired him to create The Foot Collective and develop tools and training to help individuals take control of their health from the ground up.
Through in-person workshops and online programs, Nick has educated thousands of people around the world in TFC’s philosophy.
While he no longer works in clinic, he continues to lead and inspire as a key advisor, guiding TFC’s global team behind the scenes.
HEAD OF TRAINING & EDUCATION
Jim is the founder of the Australian division of The Foot Collective, which is now the global Headquarters of the brand.
Jim has been at the forefront of TFC’s training evolution since 2018, including developing the SoleMate tool and training system.
In that time, he has travelled around Australia and the world, educating everyday people, health professionals and elite sports teams about the importance of foot and balance training.
Passionate about exploring various movement modalities, Jim has integrated gymnastics, martial arts, and natural movement into his own practice, using these experiences to further evolve TFC’s teachings.
CHIEF STORYTELLER
Since joining TFC in 2020, Mac Lyon has been a key driving force behind the company's mission to empower people worldwide to restore their natural foot health.
Born and raised in Brisbane, Australia, Mac's journey to TFC started with a passion for storytelling, cultivated through his successful career as a commercial broadcast journalist.
However, after years telling stories through mainstream media, he felt a calling to help rewrite a bigger narrative—the way we think about feet and movement.
Inspired by TFC’s mission and the vision of his lifelong mate Jim Dooner and founder Nick St Louis, Mac saw the potential to make a profound impact by helping people restore their natural function from the ground up.
